The story so far.
May–June 2026 · Listening to the community
Our early facility survey collected 129 submissions. Interest in winter beach play and coordinated family activities is helping inform the vision.
September 2026 · Exploring two facility routes
We are evaluating an existing-building conversion and a purpose-built facility. Site feasibility, design, capital needs, and operations remain part of the decision.
Fall 2026 · Keeping the beach community moving
Sunset Skills Lab is scheduled for five Monday evenings from September 14 through October 12 at MSO Beach, Playfair Park. This current outdoor program is separate from the future facility.
